 The Cream-Tone is a blues players dream come true with a wonderful almost transparent tone through to a slight midrange bump for being heard in the mix. Strat's take on the "Texas Tone" while Tele's can pull off open string runs with sparking clarity.

Our aim was to develop a pedal geared towards vintage tone freaks. Each pedal is hand-made using the finest quality components and tested to ensure that it preserves the guitars natural tone.

We have been asked by a few "175" and "335" players for a "less drive" mod, so we added a couple of switches inside, to allow you to customise your G2D Cream-Tone to your guitar and playing style. Click here to find out more.

Features
The Cream-Tone features true bypass as well as a Solo switch for volume boost when you are soloing.

Volume sets the balance between your clean sound and the pedals sound.
Tone is our unique design, it adds fullness to single coils and has the ability to make humbuckers sing.
Solo sets the amount of volume boost and adds warmth without adding extra drive.
Drive ranges from clean* to a singing mild overdrive, without losing string definition or pickup charactor. (*depends on internal switch settings).
Amber light on, in Bypass mode (Clean).
Blue light on, in Blues mode.
Red light on, in Solo mode with a volume boost.

Introduction

Thankyou for choosing the G2D "Cream-Tone" pedal.
This pedal was designed with one thing in mind TONE.
Our aim was to develop a pedal geared towards Vintage tone freaks.
Althought designed predominantly for single coils the Cream-Tone works really well with Humbuckers as well.

The Cream-Tone is a Blues players dream come true with a wonderful almost transparent tone through to a slight midrange bump for being heard in the mix. The drive goes from clean to overdrive without losing string or pickup definition.

The Cream-Tone features true bypass as well as a Solo switch for volume boost when you are soloing.
Strat's take on the "Texas Tone" while Tele's can pull off open string runs with sparking clarity even at MAX overdrive.
Another surprising feature with "single coils" is when you turn the Drive off, the Tone down and the Volume up, you get a really cool jazz type tone.

 

 

Operation


VOLUME control sets the balance between the clean and blues channels. If you dont play clean then the sky is the limit.
TONE is our unique design, it adds fullness to single coils and has the ability to make humbuckers "rocktastic".
SOLO provides a volume lift between the blues and solo channel, so you don't have to rely on sound people who don't know where the solo is.
DRIVE ranges from clean to a singing mild overdrive.
 

Setting Up

Plug the G2D into your favourite amp and set the amp to clean.
Switch the G2D to CLEAN and adjust the amps volume to your performance level.
Switch the G2D to BLUES and adjust the G2D VOLUME to balance with the clean sound.
Now switch the G2D to SOLO and adjust the SOLO to give the required lift in volume.
Use the amps volume control to raise and lower your overall performance level.

 

Battery Power

The G2D is designed to work on 9 volt alkaline battery with a level of 7 to 9 volts.
If the battery voltage falls below 7 volts:
Revision 1 & 2, the volume will drop and the LED's will stay bright.
Revision 3, the volume will drop and the blue LED will go off.
If this happens then change the battery.

 

External Power

The G2D can be powered from a 9 volt DC power pack (standard Jap power pack).
The G2D current draw is approx 15 milliamps. Plug connections are: Negative to center, Positve to sleeve.
