We believe that the Custom Overdrive is one of the most versatile pedals on the market today. It doesn't matter what size your amp is, the G2D "Custom Overdrive" pedal will make it sound impressive.

One reviewer wrote...
"When compared to other boutique pedals such as the Fulltone Fulldrive II and the Prescription Electronics Experience pedal, the G2D stands up to the challenge".

20 years of experience in playing, recording and designing Guitar Amps, Pre-Amps and Pedals has gone into the Custom Overdrive, our emphasis is on preservating the guitars natural tone, no matter what type of pickup you use, or what pickup position you play on.

Features
The Custom Overdrive is a two channel pedal with true bypass and Solo boost.

Volume sets the balance between your clean sound and the pedals sound.
Tone sweeps from a warm vocal tone, to a full on rock sound.
Solo set the amount of volume boost and adds extra drive for soloing.
Drive ranges from a mild Blues tone to a singing Solo tone.
Green light on, in Bypass mode (clean).
Blue light on, in Blues mode.
Red light on, in Solo mode.
A bit of history...
The Custom Overdrive was our first two channel pedal. It was originally called the "G2D", then renamed to the "Standard" and now the "Custom Overdrive". The look as changed three times and tone circuit has been updated to the latest design, but the rest of the circuit has remained the same.

Introduction

Thank you for choosing the G2D Overdrive pedal.
The G2D pedal has been designed with one thing in mind TONE.
Our aim was to develop a two stage overdrive which suits both single and humbucking coils.
A pedal that will work consistently with all types of amplifiers in any live situation.
The G2D suits all styles of music from Texas Blues, to Dropped Tuned Metal, to Country, you name it.
The G2D features include TRUE bypass, TWO modes of operation (like adding two extra channels to your amp) and the most focused lead tone you will ever hear.
Through our tonal research we have tried just about everything on the market from vintage amplifiers and stomp box combinations, to state of the art digital modelling technology.
If TONE is what you are looking for, then we think you have chosen well.

Thank you.

Operation

VOLUME control sets the balance between the clean and blues channels. If you dont play clean then the sky is the limit.
TONE is our unique design, it adds fullness to single coils and has the ability to make humbuckers "rocktastic".
BOOST provides a volume lift between the blues and solo channel, so you don't have to rely on sound people who don't know where the solo is.
DRIVE ranges from a mild blues amp to full on rock.

Setting Up

Plug the G2D into your favourite amp and set the amp to clean.
Switch the G2D to CLEAN and adjust the amps volume to your performance level.
Switch the G2D to BLUES and adjust the G2D VOLUME to balance with the clean sound.
Now switch the G2D to SOLO and adjust the BOOST to give the required lift in volume.
Use the amps volume control to raise and lower your overall performance level.

Battery Power

The G2D is designed to work on 9 volt alkaline battery with a level of 7 to 9 volts.
If the battery voltage falls below 7 volts:
Revision 1 & 2, the volume will drop and the LED's will stay bright.
Revision 3, the volume will drop and the blue LED will go off.
If this happens then change the battery.

External Power

The G2D can be powered from a 9 volt DC power pack (standard Jap power pack).
The G2D current draw is approx 15 milliamps. Plug connections are: Negative to center, Positve to sleeve.
